I was delighted to present my most recent research on 'Conservatism and Mental Health Policy Across the UK' at Old College, University of Edinburgh. The core findings suggest that Conservative parties across the UK diverge in their approaches to mental health policy.
Rethink Mental Illness Janey Antoniou Award Winner 2023
I was delighted and humbled to receive the Janey Antoniou Award from Rethink Mental Illness. To receive an award in memory of such an incredible person is overwhelming for me and very much appreciated. I had no idea I had been nominated so to win was a complete shock for me. I campaign on the issue because I feel deeply about improving the lives of people severely affected by mental illness. To be recognised for this work is amazing.
UK Prime Minister Points of Light
Award Winner 2019
I am delighted to be awarded the Points of Light Award by the Prime Minister for my work on eating disorders and mental health. We as a society must continue to break down the stigma attached to males experiencing body image issues and mental illness. I hope the work I do, alongside hundreds of campaigners and several organisations, continues to make a difference in the lives of those males who feel voiceless in this area. I would like to thank the Prime Minister for his recognition of the issue and the work that is being done on it.
